The Election Commission has informed all candidates, party secretaries and independent group leaders who contested the parliamentary elections to prepare and submit their income and expenditure reports by 6th of December midnight.
In a statement, the Election Commission stated that the contested candidates as well as the national list candidates should submit their expenditure reports to the Election Office.
To facilitate this process, special units will be set up to receive revenue and expenditure reports from all districts.
These units are open till 6.00pm on normal duty days and till midnight on 6th of December.
The Election Commission also stated that if they fail to submit the expenditure reports on the due date, they will be dealt with according to the Election Expenses Regulation Act.
