New South Wales has been identified as the state chosen by the majority of immigrants to Australia in the 2023-2024 financial year.
Accordingly, 57,458 immigrants chose New South Wales during that year, followed by Victoria.
In the 2023-2024 financial year, 50,146 migrants arrived in Victoria, an increase of 0.9 per cent.
The latest announcement by the Department of Home Affairs shows that the number of immigrants in New South Wales has decreased by 0.1 percent compared to last year.
Victoria has been identified as the state showing a remarkable increase in the arrival of immigrants.
Although 190,000 people came to Australia in the financial year 2023-2024, that figure is a decrease of 2.6 percent.
Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia have been identified as the most popular states among immigrants.
