Thousands of jobs at risk over Qld flight caps

More than 16,000 regional jobs are expected to be axed in Queensland.

A new bill introducing flight caps and curfews across the state aims to reduce aircraft noise.

The move will be finalised by the end of 2042, according to Brisbane Airport officials.

Experts are concerned the decision will impact the local economy.

The change is also expected to drive up airfares.
