The two Sri Lankan women, who were detained by border guards while attempting to illegally enter Israel from Jordon have been identified.
A 44-year-old and a 50-year-old woman had been detained by Israeli border guards two days ago while attempting to illegally enter its territory.
The Sri Lanka Embassy in Israel said since the duo had attempted to illegally enter the country, authorities will send them back to Jordon.
The Embassy said however, it will take steps to provide safety and security to the two Sri Lankan women and extend all necessary support for them in the next few days.
