The state government has ordered a review of the body that oversees Year 12 examinations in schools in Victoria.
It is said that it is due to the discovery of fraud in the model question papers available on the internet for some students related to the examination.
State Premier Jacinta Allen stressed that people were disappointed that thousands of students who took the exam received papers containing questions similar to those used in their final exams.
The question papers related to this event, which were revealed by the media for the first time, include eight subjects including business management, mathematics and legal studies and those exams have already been completed.
Published online by the Victoria State Curriculum and Assessment Authority, the papers are available as a Word document and contain a series of questions and answers.
The annual instruction sheets for several subjects were uploaded on the website last October and were accessed by many students.
Every year these guide books are produced for Year 12 students to prepare for their exams.
As a result of this incident, a team will be appointed to examine all activities of the Victorian State Curriculum and Assessment Authority and they will advise the Government in this regard.
