Victorian Opposition Leader John Pesutto says the state government under Premier Jacinta Allan is showing signs of “division”.
Mr Pesutto’s remarks come after two Victorian Labor MPs said they would abstain from the Lord’s Prayer in the state parliament after the Pope called for surrogacy to be banned.
“The government here under Jacinta Allan is showing signs of division,” he told Sky News Australia.
“We’ve seen two Labor MPs … who are openly defying the Premier and the Deputy Premier on this.
“This isn’t the first time we’ve seen division in the Allan Labor government under Jacinta Allan’s leadership.”
