Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams-the world’s richest Hindu temples trust has made the highest ever fixed deposit of Rs 1161 crore this year when compared to the deposits made by the trust in the last 12 years.
In an exclusive, TOI looks into the fixed deposits made by the TTD, which administers the iconic Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala, visited by millions of devotees from across the globe annually.
TTD, is perhaps the only Hindu religious body in the country, which has been consistently making Rs 500 crore or more fixed deposits year after year in the last twelve years, with such deposits declining below the 500 crore mark only on three counts in the past.
