Government institutions must get written permission from the Prime Minister’s Office or the relevant ministry before using the Prime Minister’s or ministers’ photos and messages for official events or activities, according to a fresh government directive.
Secretary to the Prime Minister Pradeep Saputhanthri has issued this directive which has been communicated to all ministry secretaries, provincial chief secretaries, heads of departments, and leaders of state institutions, statutory bodies, and state-owned companies.
To use images and messages of the Prime Minister, written permission must be obtained from the Prime Minister’s Office.
Additionally, permission for the use of ministers’ content should be secured from the relevant ministry.
