A young woman has been arrested in the United States after allegedly stealing more than $AUD3800 of the popular Stanley water cups.

Police were called to a store on Stanford Ranch Road in Roseville, California, on Wednesday afternoon last week over reports of a theft.

The woman had allegedly walked out with a shopping trolley full of the water bottles without paying for them.

“A subsequent search of her vehicle resulted in the recovery of 65 Stanley products valued at nearly $(USD)2500.”

The majority of the stolen Stanley products were the company’s highly sought-after Quenchers – a water cup – which boasts long-lasting insulation.

“While Stanley Quenchers are all the rage, we strongly advise against turning to crime to fulfill your hydration habits,” the department said.
