Coalition gaining support in Qld as polling shows a decline for Labor

The Queensland Labor Party is facing an uphill battle in next year’s state election as support for the state government declines.

According to new polling from RedBridge Group, the Queensland Coalition’s primary vote now stands at 41 per cent.

Compared to Queensland Labor, which stands at 26 per cent.

The Coalition is also leading the state in two-party preferred polling, holding steady at 55 per cent.

Compared to Labor, which is behind at 45 per cent.

New polling has painted a grim picture for Labor’s prospects at next year’s state election, with the LNP surging ahead on primary votes.

A survey of more than 2,000 Queenslanders, conducted by RedBridge Group, found the LNP’s primary vote is at 41 per cent compared to Labor’s 26 per cent.

On a two-party preferred basis, the LNP leads with 55 per cent to Labor’s 45 per cent. That is an eight per cent increase for the LNP since the 2020 election and could be the lowest polling figure for Labor since the Campbell Newman wipe-out in 2012.
